Hayat Zouiten is a Research and Education Fellow at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

She holds the position of professor in mathematics and data science. She is also an integral member of the «Future Risks and Economic Behavior» research program at the «African Institute for Research in Economic and Social Sciences» (AIRESS). Her research focuses on quantifying and analyzing attitudes toward risk and ambiguity, with expertise in designing and conducting behavioral experiments using econometric techniques. Her work extends to applying behavioral economics principles to African contexts, illuminating decision-making biases and heuristics prevalent among African populations in the fields of development economics and environmental sustainability.

Prior to her role at UM6P, Prof. Zouiten taught various courses at the Faculty of Economic, Social, and Juridical Sciences Ain Sebaâ, Hassan II University. In 2018, she obtained her Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the Faculty of Science at Moulay Ismail University. During her doctoral years, she undertook research stays at the University of Aveiro in Portugal and actively presented her research findings at multiple international conferences. Her substantial contributions to the field are evident through her numerous publications in esteemed international scientific journals.
