The Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the School of Collective Intelligence, hosted the Cultural Evolution Society Conference from May 11 to May 13, 2026. The conference brought together more than 300 scholars and researchers dedicated to understanding how culture shapes human life across time and place. The program also included a shared day with the Human Behavior and Evolution Society (HBES) 37th Annual Conference, featuring joint activities designed to strengthen dialogue and collaboration between the two academic communities.
