Abdulkader Sinno is a Full Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.
Before joining UM6P, he was a tenured Associate Professor of Political Science & Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington. He received his PhD in political science from UCLA, was a CISAC Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, a Carnegie Scholar, and a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
Professor Sinno is the author of books and articles on Afghanistan’s conflicts, Muslim minority political representation in Western liberal democracies, public attitudes towards Muslim immigration, conflict processes, and Islamist parties’ participation in elections. His scholarship is multidisciplinary and multi-methods.
He regularly produces public scholarship, particularly on topics related to Afghanistan, Middle Eastern conflicts, and Muslim minorities in the West. He also has been interviewed in the press on topics related to his research more than 90 times.
Professor Sinno is an award-winning teacher who taught a broad range of courses in political science, methods and security studies.
