[email protected] Téléchager le CVIván Martín is an Affiliate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.
He is economist. At the UM6P, he teaches since 2020 courses on Labour Market Economics and Policies, International Migration and The Mediterranean in the XXI Century. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South and Associate Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Immigration (GRITIM) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Formerly, he was Part-time Professor at the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) of the European University Institute in Florence (2013-2016). He has also been Senior Research Fellow at the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs-CIDOB; Research Administrator on European Neighbouhood Policies at the College of Europe, Natolin Campus, Poland; Director of the Socio-Economic Forum of Casa Árabe and its International Institute for Arab and Muslim World Studies in Spain; as well as Adjunct Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
He has coordinated several international research projects, and since 2010 he has worked as consultant and trainer on international labour migration, EU development cooperation and neighbourhood policies, youth employment, and assistance to vulnerable migrants in North African countries, particularly in Morocco and Tunisia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Among other international organizations, he has worked for the International Organization for Migration, the International Labour Organization, the European Commission, the European Training Foundation, the AECID, the Swiss Development Cooperation and the Union for the Mediterranean Secretariat.
