Mohamed El Guide is a Research & Education Fellow at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cadi Ayyad in 2017. In February 2018, he continued his postdoctoral work in the Complex Systems and Human Systems laboratory at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University before joining the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota as a postdoctoral researcher. Since 2019, he has been a Professor of Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Research Methods for Social Sciences, and Decision Analysis at the Faculty of Governance, Economics, and Social Sciences.

Professor El Guide is also a member of the Future Risks and Economic Behavior laboratory, which is part of the main research programs deployed by the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS). The primary focus of his current research is on testing new choice models in the presence of different sources of future uncertainties, aiming to develop models capable of better predicting behavior, investigating the causal determinants of preferences and beliefs and their impact on economic behavior, developing effective empirical methods in behavioral development economics to inform and influence public policies in developing countries.
