Najib Bounahai is a full Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Ph.D. Tufts University, USA; Master of Arts and Postgraduate Diploma, Essex University, UK and Bachelor of Arts, Mohammed V University, Rabat.

Professor Najib Bounahai is Full Professor of Higher education with particular interest in postcolonial studies, cultural studies as well as performance studies. Some of his areas of research include Critical Discourse Analysis, the interplay of culture, the arts with the wider political, social and economic context. He is currently working on the dialogical interplay between geopolitics and spectacle across several geographies and histories. He has published articles and supervised several doctoral theses in the sociology, history and anthropology of performance and literature with focus on countries from the MENA region and across the African continent.

In addition to his academic trajectory, Pr. Bounahai holds particular interest in stagecraft and has directed several plays from various theatrical traditions. He is also a specialist in Skills education and serves as academic leader of SCALES (Skills Cluster for Agile Learning in Economics and Social Sciences) at Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences.
