He is a Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, and a professor of quantitative methods and social economics at Cadi Ayyad University. He is director of the Research Laboratory in Social and Solidarity Economy, Governance and Development at Cadi Ayyad University, who focuses on econometric methodologies and impact assessment methods applied to social sciences (labour economics, migration, education and development economics) and also in charge of the doctoral program in Economics.
He is a member of the Moroccan Association of Business Intelligence, an associate member of the Global Labor Organization (GLO), the Moroccan representative in the Femise network, and an associate researcher in several institutes and research centres.
He has been a consultant for several national and international organizations (the Instance Nationale d’Evaluation auprès du Conseil Supérieur de l’Education, de la Formation et de la Recherche Scientifique; the World Bank, the ILO.) on issues relating to Morocco and several Arab and Francophone African countries.
He has several publications in international scientific journals and has contributed to several collective works. Mr. Ibourk’s PhD thesis was on «Contribution to the econometrics of the labour market matching process: Macro and microeconometric approaches, with a contribution to the modelling of censored and truncated data».
His research interests include applied econometrics, data science, economic policy modelling, labour economics, economics of education and development economics.
