On Thursday, October 10th, the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) held their third research seminar of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The session was led by Professor Mohammed Abdellaoui, who discussed “The Drivers of Compound Risk Attitude.” His presentation focused on how decision-makers often fail to simplify compound risks into a single probability, highlighting the role of non-linear probability weighting, and offering insights into choices in complex uncertain scenarios.
