Malak Kandoussi is a Post-doctoral Fellow at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Before joining UM6P, She completed her Ph.D. in Labour Economics at the University of Paris-Saclay, where she participated in numerous seminars and conferences on labor market dynamics.

Her research focuses on key aspects influencing the labor market, such as economic crises and structural shifts, including the rise of remote work using the Diamond-Mortensen-Pissarides matching model. she aims to explore critical questions like: How do economic crises affect labor markets? How can public policy interventions mitigate their negative impacts? And how does the growing trend of remote work influence labor market outcomes and inequalities?.

Her interests extend beyond macro labor economics and theoretical models to include empirical research. she is also interested in using the administrative data to explore urban economics by investigating factors such as firm location decisions in large metropolitan regions.

In terms of teaching, she has experience delivering courses at the University of Paris-Saclay and Paris Descartes, and she is teaching an advanced Macroeconomics course (M.S.) at UM6P.
