Mina Baliamoune is an Affiliate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

She is Richard de Raismes Kip Professor of Economics at the University of North Florida (UNF) and UNF’s Distinguished Professor, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South, and a Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum.

Pr. Baliamoune holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Economics from Northeastern University. She has been at UNF since 2000 and has taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels including macroeconomics, international trade, the global economy, economic policy, and the Study-Abroad course on the Political Economy of Development in Brazil. Her empirical work on the effect of policy and institutional reforms in Africa has received significant national and international recognition.

Pr. Baliamoune has served as President (2012-2014), and Vice-President (2018-2022) of the African Finance and Economics Association (AFEA), Associate Editor of the Journal of African Development, the Journal of Business and Behavioral Sciences, and Information Technology for Development. She has also served on the Editorial Board of Feminist Economics, and the Board of Directors of AFEA and the Eastern Economic Association.
